Our client is looking for an experienced Residential Mortgage Loan Processor to manage loans from order services through closing. In this role, you’ll request, review, and verify key loan documents, including title, insurance, appraisal, and collateral items, and confirm they meet the client's guidelines. You’ll clear lender-side conditions in the loan operating system and serve as the main point of contact for internal teams and outside partners, keeping everyone on track with the documents and timelines each loan needs. You’ll work closely with Mortgage Specialists to manage your own pipeline, watch for expiring documents, and make sure loans close on schedule. The ideal candidate has at least five years of residential mortgage processing experience, a strong client-service focus, and the drive to solve problems on their own.
Primary Responsibilities
Document review and order services
- Complete the order services process: request, review, and verify loan processing documents such as title and insurance
- Review title and insurance documents to confirm they meet Morgan Stanley guidelines
Clearing conditions
- Clear loan processing conditions in the loan operating system, including insurance, collateral, disclosure, and title items
Pipeline management
- Monitor a personal pipeline and work with Mortgage Specialists and other internal partners so loan cycle times meet client expectations
- Track loan progress through closing to make sure documents don’t expire
Communication with partners
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external business partners on lender-side conditions (title, appraisal, HOI), including timelines, needed documents, and expectations
Working independently
- Work independently and proactively, solving problems creatively and executing at a high level
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of residential mortgage loan processing experience
- Proven record of quality loan production while managing a large client base
- Outstanding written, verbal, and analytical skills
- Strong multitasking, prioritization, and time management skills to meet closing deadlines
- Superior customer service focus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- High school diploma or equivalent
