Position: Loan Operations Analyst

Duration: 6 month contract to start - extensions likely/ conversion possible

Pay : 40-45/hour

Location : Onsite - Charlotte, NC

Required Skills & Experience

• Full-cycle loan servicing or mortgage servicing experience, beyond origination: payments, accruals, payoffs and preparing client-facing files
• Accounting and reconciliation background: debits/credits, ledger and journal entries, reading a balance sheet
• Expert-level Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivots, mapping large remittance files)
• Understanding of transaction flow from booking through cash and the GL
• Able to work heads-down through a high-volume backlog (500+ items) while keeping up with BAU
• Strong attention to detail and knows when to escalate

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Syndicated or commercial lending experience, including credit agreement review
• Loan IQ exposure (the team is migrating to it)
• Experience with pricing templates and files
• Trading or trade control background, including mark-to-market pricing
• Accounts receivable experience
• Alteryx or other reporting tools
• CMBS or commercial real estate loan exposure

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Loan Operations Analyst to support the loan operations team at one of our large financial clients. The team's in-house loan system has built up a significant backlog while they prepare to move to Loan IQ. This person will work through 500+ open items, including reconciliations, receivables, ledger and journal research, and transaction processing, while also supporting daily BAU activity. Responsibilities include reviewing loan and deal documentation, mapping remittance files into Excel, reconciling cash and positions, resolving breaks, preparing files and reporting for clients, and partnering with Finance, Technology and the front office as needed. The ideal candidate has full-cycle loan or mortgage servicing experience, a strong accounting foundation, and is comfortable with detail-heavy, heads-down work. xhqgsiq This role is on-site in Charlotte, Monday–Friday.
