Role Description This full-time on-site role is based in Fallbrook, CA and is for a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). The clinician will provide individual, group, and family therapy to residents, complete intake assessments, and develop treatment plans aligned with each resident’s needs and goals. Daily responsibilities include documenting clinical services, maintaining accurate records, collaborating with residential staff and other providers, and participating in case conferences and treatment team meetings. The LMFT/LPCC will deliver psychoeducation, crisis intervention, and ongoing therapeutic support, while helping shape a safe and therapeutic milieu within the residential setting.
Qualifications
- Active LMFT or LPCC license in the state of California, in good standing.
- Demonstrated skills in individual, group, and family therapy, with experience in residential or community mental health settings.
- Ability to conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments, treatment planning, and ongoing clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory and ethical standards.
- Knowledge of evidence-based modalities (such as CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care) and familiarity with co-occurring disorders and crisis intervention.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills for working with multidisciplinary teams and diverse populations.
- Organizational and time-management abilities to manage caseloads, maintain records, and meet documentation and reporting requirements.
- Comfort with using electronic health records and basic office software for clinical documentation and coordination of care.
- Commitment to person-centered, culturally responsive, and non-discriminatory care for residents of varied backgrounds and identities.
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related field.
- Experience in residential mental health or substance use treatment is preferred; bilingual skills are a plus.
