Role Description
This is a full-time role for a Litigation Associate at SBS. In this role, you will undertake various legal tasks, including drafting legal documents, conducting in-depth research, analyzing complex legal issues, conducting document and deposition discovery, and providing legal advice to clients. You will collaborate with team members on case theories, litigation strategies, negotiation efforts, discovery, and case preparations, all while ensuring the highest standard of legal representation. The role will provide ample opportunity for professional development and upward mobility. Salary commensurate with experience.
Qualifications
* Admitted to the bar
* 1-4 years substantive litigation experience and a strong interest in shareholder-related disputes and the financial markets; securities, corporate litigation, or class action experience is a strong plus
* Demonstrated experience conducting detailed and thorough research on complex legal and factual matters
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Law Review and/or federal court clerkship preferred)
* Ability to work independently on a variety of high-level assignments, while collaborating effectively with a team
* Strong time management, multitasking, and communication skills are essential
* Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and bar admission in at least one U.S. state
* Experience in securities, corporate litigation, class actions, or a related field is a strong plus
