A law firm seeks a Litigation Trial Attorney in Tampa, FL. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping clients and possess strong organizational and communication skills. This role involves preparing and trying cases, with a focus on achieving fair compensation for clients.
Duties
- Skillfully try cases, present evidence, and make arguments.
- Prepare thoroughly by reviewing pleadings, evidence, and timelines.
- Handle motion practice, discovery, and trial presentations.
- Conduct depositions and manage Daubert challenges and Motions in Limine.
Requirements
- Member of the Florida Bar in good standing.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in civil litigation.
- Experience with at least 5 civil jury trials to verdict.
- Admitted to the U.S. Middle District of Florida.
Education
Preferred: Graduate of the Keenan Trial Institute, Gerry Spence Method, or the Trial Lawyers College.
Certifications
Preferred: Board Certified as a Civil Trial Lawyer.
Skills
- Strong legal research and understanding of Florida law and civil procedure.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with Proposals for Settlements and Offers for Judgments.
- Medical knowledge pertinent to personal injury litigation.
- Proficient in typing at least 35 words per minute.
- Comfortable with computers and technology.
