Our client, a highly successful Chicago business law firm with a notable list of well recognized commercial clients, seeks an experienced litigation partner with significant first chair trial experience to join its team. This position could also lead to an opportunity for the candidate to lead the litigation practice, which would, in addition to first-chair and second-chair litigation responsibilities, include managing and supervising a team of litigation partners and associates.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience handling moderate to complex commercial litigation matters and will be extraordinarily capable of handling all aspects of the litigation process, including initial case analysis, drafting pleadings, taking and defending depositions, arguing substantive motions and trying and settling cases. The candidate should have a strong business background, excellent academic credentials, communication skills, and analytical and technical writing skills, strong entrepreneurial abilities and interest, and a history of business development efforts.
