A law firm seeks a highly motivated Litigation Partner or Senior Counsel to join their expanding offices in Wilmington, NC. The candidate should possess a minimum of ten years of significant civil and/or commercial litigation experience and a reasonable book of portable litigation business. This role involves managing an active caseload and contributing to the firm's growth in North Carolina.
Duties
- Manage and oversee an active litigation caseload.
- Draft and prepare pleadings, briefs, and motions.
- Conduct discovery and prepare for depositions and trials.
- Perform legal research and analysis.
- Engage in oral advocacy and communication with clients.
- Network within the community and professional organizations.
Requirements
- Minimum of ten years of significant commercial litigation experience.
- Experience in construction litigation preferred.
- Current member of the North Carolina bar.
- Litigation experience in North Carolina federal and state courts.
- Ability to manage a team of associates and paralegals.
Education
J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
Certifications
Membership in the North Carolina bar.
