Job Overview
A law firm seeks a highly motivated Litigation Partner or Senior Counsel to join its expanding offices in Raleigh, NC. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of ten years of significant civil and/or commercial litigation experience and a reasonable book of portable litigation business. They will be responsible for managing an active caseload and contributing to the growth of the firm’s litigation presence in North Carolina.
Responsibilities
- Manage an active litigation caseload.
- Draft and prepare pleadings, briefs, and motions.
- Conduct discovery and present witnesses for deposition.
- Engage in oral argument and trial preparation.
- Conduct legal research and analysis.
- Network actively within the community and organizations.
Requirements
- Minimum of ten years of significant commercial litigation experience.
- Experience in construction litigation preferred.
- Current member of the North Carolina bar.
- Litigation experience in North Carolina federal and state courts.
Education
- J.D. from an ABA‑accredited law school.
Certifications
- Membership in the North Carolina bar.
