Litigation Paralegal / Legal AssistantWe are seeking a highly motivated Litigation Paralegal / Legal Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide assistance to lawyers, ensuring they are able to carry out their duties. The ideal candidate is hardworking and detail-oriented.
Bilingual in both English and Spanish is preferred.ResponsibilitiesDaily interactions with clients, attorneys, insurance companies, doctors, medical office staff, etc.Request and gather medical and billing recordsDraft and review legal documentsManage cases, administrative duties, and calendar all court appointed deadlinesConduct research and analyze case lawFollow up with clients on a consistent basisMeet with supervisor monthly to discuss status of all managing casesAssist attorney with file preparation prior to depositions, mediation, court hearings, and trialOrganize and calendar deadlinesE-Fax and E-File case documentsMust be able to work M-F from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PMAttend to other paralegal/legal assistant duties as assignedQualificationsPrevious experience as a Legal Assistant or similar role is preferredAbility to prioritize, pay attention to detail, follow procedures and work effectively with othersDue to constant interaction with others, must be customer-service oriented and present a professional imageDemonstrate leadership ability and exceptional organizational skillsAbility to handle confidential client informationProficient in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentProactive results-focused work ethicMust be on time to work, dependable, and reliableAt Hinojosa Law, we believe in giving our clients the truth about where their case stands.
