What You'll Do
As a member of our Litigation Group, you will play a key role in managing complex litigation matters from inception through resolution. Your responsibilities will include:
- Working directly with clients to provide practical legal guidance and outstanding service
- Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and other court filings
- Conducting and defending depositions
- Appearing in both Michigan state and federal courts
- Participating in settlement negotiations and facilitation
- Assisting with trial strategy and trial preparation
The ideal candidate will bring:
- 5-7 years of civil litigation experience
- Active license and good standing with the State Bar of Michigan
- Significant experience handling complex business litigation in state and federal courts
- Exceptional legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- A self-motivated, detail-oriented approach to practicing law
- Excellent interpersonal and client relationship skills
- Familiarity with the Macomb, Oakland, and Wayne County courts
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
