Description
Litigation Attorney - Plaintiff Class Actions and Consumer Protection (Hybrid)
We Sue Banks, credit bureaus, and background check companies - and we win.
R23 Law (r23law.com | wesuebanks.com | classactionhelp.com) is a fast-growing plaintiff-side litigation firm taking on major banks, financial institutions, data brokers, and credit bureaus in class actions, mass arbitrations, and single-plaintiff litigation. The clients we serve are consumers whose credit, jobs, and housing were wrecked by companies that treated them as a rounding error. We litigate against the biggest defense firms in the country, and we have more settlements in the pipeline than attorneys to handle them.
This is a rare seat for a 2-8 year litigator who wants real responsibility now: your own docket, your own settlements, depositions and court appearances this year - not in year eight. This position is hybrid/remote (California), with court appearances as needed.
Responsibilities
• Own a docket of consumer cases against banks, data brokers, credit bureaus, and background check companies - most matters involve multiple defendants, so settlements come frequently
• Negotiate directly with opposing counsel and drive cases to resolution - this role is about results, and your compensation grows with every settlement you close
• Take depositions, appear in federal and state court, and push cases past summary judgment where their value multiplies
• Work up our growing class action and mass arbitration matters alongside the firm's founder
• Litigate with a full support team behind you: litigation specialists, paralegals, and a robust tech stack that handles the drudgery
Qualifications
• California bar admission (federal district court admission a plus)
• 2-8 years of litigation experience; plaintiff-side, consumer protection (FCRA/FDCPA/TCPA), employment, or other contingency practice preferred - but we care more about drive than pedigree
• Strong negotiator who enjoys closing deals and talking to opposing counsel
• Comfort using modern tools, including AI platforms, with rigorous attorney review of all work product
• High-agency self-starter who thrives with autonomy
