Litigation Attorney Opportunity

An Idaho law firm seeking a Litigation Attorney to support and grow its civil litigation practice. The firm has a strong transactional platform and now needs a civil litigator who can take ownership of business, real estate, construction, and/or general civil litigation matters.

This is an opportunity for an attorney who wants meaningful case ownership, long-term growth, profit-sharing upside, and a path toward partnership in an entrepreneurial firm environment. The firm offers a collaborative culture, monthly team meetings, brand-new commercial office space, and a schedule that does not require the traditional 60-hour law firm workweek.

The Litigation Attorney will independently manage a civil litigation caseload, draft and file litigation documents, communicate with clients, and work closely with Mike McClure and firm leadership on matter strategy. This role is ideal for an attorney with 3+ years of litigation experience, with 5 years being ideal, who is licensed in Idaho or willing and able to become licensed in Idaho.

The position is based in Meridian, ID, with openness to hybrid flexibility and potential consideration for a strong remote candidate depending on experience, licensing, and overall fit.

Responsibilities include managing a caseload involving business, real estate, construction, and/or general civil litigation matters; drafting, reviewing, and revising pleadings, motions, discovery, correspondence, settlement materials, and other litigation documents; handling case strategy, deadlines, calendars, discovery obligations, hearing preparation, and matter progression; and preparing for and supporting depositions, mediations, hearings, arbitrations, and trial-related proceedings.

Client communication and matter strategy involve communicating directly with clients regarding litigation updates, strategy, deadlines, risks, and next steps; assessing client issues and coordinating with Mike and firm leadership as matters are originated, assigned, and moved forward; providing practical, business-minded legal guidance to clients facing disputes or litigation exposure; and maintaining organized matter files, work product, and case documentation.

Firm growth and collaboration include contributing to a growing litigation platform within an entrepreneurial law firm; collaborating with attorneys and staff through regular team meetings and shared case planning; supporting the firm's long-term growth, client retention, and litigation practice development; and building strong relationships with clients, referral sources, and the Boise/Idaho legal community.

Required qualifications include a J.D. from an accredited law school; 3+ years of litigation experience; civil litigation experience, ideally in business, real estate, construction, or commercial disputes; ability to independently manage a litigation caseload with strong organization and follow-through; strong drafting, legal research, case management, and client communication skills; Idaho Bar admission or willingness and ability to become licensed in Idaho; interest in a long-term role with growth, profit-sharing, and potential partnership-track opportunity; and ability to work effectively in an onsite, hybrid, or strong remote arrangement depending on fit and licensing.

Pay range and compensation package include an expected base salary of approximately $110,000, with profit-sharing upside and an ideal total compensation opportunity that may reach approximately $230,000 depending on performance, experience, goals, and overall contribution. The firm offers a partnership-track opportunity, profit-sharing potential, insurance and cell phone stipends of approximately $5,080 total, matched IRA after the first year with immediate employee contribution eligibility, 12 days of paid time off, and approximately 25 total days off annually when federal holidays are included.

The standard schedule is Monday-Thursday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM, and Friday, 8:30 AM-3:00 PM. The firm does not expect a 60-hour workweek and is open to hybrid flexibility or a strong remote candidate depending on fit.
