Litigation Attorney Requirements & Qualifications

  • Active California bar admission in good standing

  • Proven ability to independently manage a litigation caseload
  • Skilled in legal research, writing, and strategic case management

Litigation Attorney Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of state and federal civil litigation as primary counsel
  • Draft, file, and argue motions—including dispositive and pretrial motions
  • Conduct and defend depositions
  • Appear in court for hearings, conferences, and oral arguments
  • Prepare cases for trial, including strategy and witness preparation
  • Maintain compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements
  • Collaborate with firm leadership and support staff to move matters forward
