Established California Civil Defense Firm Seeking Insurance Defense Attorney - LA/OC A well-established civil litigation and insurance defense firm with over 50 years of legal sophistication is seeking an Insurance Defense Attorney to join their LA or OC team. The ideal candidate will have experience defending clients across a broad range of matters including general torts, premises liability, product liability, habitability defense, transportation and trucking, and insurance coverage disputes. This role offers the opportunity to handle substantive defense litigation within a firm recognized for strong motions practice, appellate work, and a commitment to setting industry precedents. Offer: $150-210k+ base salary, contingent on experience Performance-based bonus program Health, dental, and vision coverage Hybrid remote flexibility Retirement plan Qualifications: Experience in insurance defense or civil litigation, including general torts, premises liability, product liability, habitability, and/or transportation matters Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills Active California Bar license in good standing Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school Ability to manage a caseload independently and collaboratively Responsibilities: Managing a caseload of insurance defense and civil litigation matters across general torts, premises liability, product liability, habitability, and transportation claims Conducting legal research and drafting motions, pleadings, and briefs Appearing in court hearings, settlement conferences, and mediations Preparing for depositions and supporting trial preparation Coordinating with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel Collaborating with senior associates and partners on complex defense matters For this position you must be currently authorized to work in the United States.
