You will manage a diverse caseload and represent the firm in contested legal matters.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Litigation Management: Manage a high-volume caseload from referral through resolution, including contested matters and complex litigation.
- Document Preparation: Prepare, review, and approve foreclosure-related pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other litigation documents.
- Courtroom Advocacy: Represent clients in mediations, depositions, hearings, and court appearances (both telephonic and in-person).
- Strategic Analysis: Perform issue spotting, develop litigation strategy, and review loan documents, title work, and chains of title to ensure accuracy.
- Client & Internal Partnering: Communicate proactively with clients regarding case status, litigation strategy, and risk assessment. Collaborate with internal legal staff and support teams to ensure timely case progression.
- Compliance: Ensure strict compliance with court deadlines, procedural requirements, and client-specific expectations.
- Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Licensure: Must be an active member in good standing with The Massachusetts Bar.
- Experience: Prior litigation experience is required; foreclosure and/or creditors' rights experience is strongly preferred.
- Core Competencies: * Ability to independently manage a high-volume caseload.
- Strong courtroom presence with confidence handling hearings and contested matters.
- Excellent legal writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
