Our client seeks a full-time attorney to assist with all aspects of the practice. The firm's practice consists approximately equally of litigation and corporate counseling. The successful candidate will ultimately run the firm's commercial litigation practice while also having exposure to the firm's corporate and business counseling work.
Responsibilities:
• Manage commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Independently manage and prepare matters for trial.
• Handle all aspects of commercial litigation and business disputes.
• Develop litigation strategy and manage cases with a high degree of autonomy.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other litigation documents.
• Handle discovery, depositions, hearings, negotiations, and trial preparation.
• Represent clients throughout the litigation process.
• Assist with business and corporate representation as needed.
• Draft and review contracts, leases, operating agreements, and other business documents.
• Work directly with clients and provide practical business and legal guidance.
• Collaborate with the firm's paralegal and administrative support staff.
• Help lead and grow the firm's commercial litigation practice.
Qualifications:
• 8-10+ years of experience preferred.
• Significant commercial litigation experience required.
• Must be capable of independently managing a trial.
• Strong business representation experience.
• Experience drafting contracts, leases, operating agreements, and related corporate documents preferred.
• New Jersey Law License preferred.
