A law firm seeks a Litigation Attorney (Non-Trial) to join their team in Tampa, FL. This full-time position focuses on preparing cases for trial and supporting trial attorneys, with a strong emphasis on motion practice and discovery.
Duties
- Collaborate with clients and team members to enhance case outcomes.
- Engage in comprehensive motion practice and discovery processes.
- Preserve evidence and prepare cases for trial.
- Draft and review pleadings and legal documents.
- Coordinate with paralegals, support staff, and other attorneys.
Requirements
- Member of the Florida Bar in good standing.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in civil litigation.
- Strong legal research skills and understanding of Florida law.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
- Experience with depositions and expert witness preparation.
- Knowledge of Proposals for Settlements and Offers for Judgments.
- Medical knowledge pertinent to personal injury litigation.
- Proficiency in typing at least 35 words per minute.
- Comfortable with computers and technology.
Education
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications
- Licensed to practice law in Florida.
