Litigation Attorney

Position OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Litigation Attorney with at least 4 years of experience to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will handle a broad range of litigation matters, with a preference for business/commercial litigation. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex cases for a diverse client base while enjoying the collaborative environment and regional focus of a mid-size firm.The position can report from either our Belleville, Illinois office or our St.

Louis, Missouri office.Key ResponsibilitiesManage all phases of litigation, including case assessment, pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, mediation/arbitration, and trial preparation and presentation.Handle business and commercial disputes (preferred), as well as other civil litigation matters as needed.Conduct legal research, draft briefs, motions, and other court documents.Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.Collaborate with partners, associates, and support staff to develop case strategies and deliver high-quality results.Maintain accurate case files and meet all deadlines and court requirements.Contribute to business development and firm initiatives as appropriate.QualificationsJuris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.Active license to practice law in Missouri or Illinois (dual licensure strongly preferred).Minimum of 4 years of litigation experience; business/commercial litigation experience preferred.Strong written and oral advocacy skills, with demonstrated ability in motion practice and courtroom work.Excellent analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage a caseload independently while working collaboratively in a team environment.Benefits401k MatchHybrid flexibilityHealth InsurancePTO
