Our Monterey, CA office is seeking an experienced and dynamic Litigation Attorney to
Lozano Smith values diversity,
join our Litigation Practice Group. This individual will represent public agencies and
school districts in a variety of litigation matters. They will handle complex cases from fostering an inclusive environment
inception to resolution, including administrative hearings, arbitrations, trials and where varied perspectives enrich our
appeals. A proven track record in motion practice, including drafting pre-trial motions, work and culture. Our dedication to
writ petitions, administrative hearings, arbitration proceedings, and civil litigation is equity and representation ensures a
highly desirable. The ideal candidate will be dedicated, detail-oriented, and capable of dynamic team that reflects the
handling complex litigation issues with professionalism and expertise. communities we serve.
Duties & Responsibilities: Spotlight on Culture
? Representing public entities in state and federal court. ? Mentoring Program
? Representing public entities in arbitration and administrative hearings. ? Professional Development
? Provide legal advice on matters related to public agency law, and education law. ? Child-Friendly Business Award
? Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and prepare legal documents. ? Community Engagement Projects
? Collaborate with clients and provide strategic guidance on legal issues.
? Collaborative Environment
? Stay current on legal developments and provide training to clients.

Qualifications:
Focus on Schools and Community
? Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Partnering with school districts,
? Admission to the State Bar of California and in good standing.
community colleges, cities, counties
? Proven trial experience.
? Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills. and all types of public agencies is at
? Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented the core of what we do. Our 30+ year

Salary: $120,000 - $225,000/year
