Our client is seeking a Litigation Attorney with 3-6 years of experience in Medical Malpractice Defense to handle complex litigation, prepare cases for trial, and represent physicians in deposition and defense matters.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Manage medical malpractice cases from inception through trial/arbitration preparation (excluding first-chair trial and arbitration presentations).
- Draft pleadings, motions, and prepare/respond to written discovery while developing litigation and investigation strategies.
- Attend court appearances, represent physicians in deposition-only matters, and assist with trial preparation.
- Collaborate with trial attorneys and Claims Specialists on defense strategy, case preparation, and litigation reporting.
- Respond to Claims Department hotline inquiries, ensure compliance with Defense Attorney Guidelines, and mentor junior attorneys.
- J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in California.
- 3-6 years of medical malpractice litigation experience.
- Strong ability to work independently and develop effective defense strategies.
