Litigation AssociateClient maintains both a litigation and transaction practice. On the litigation side, the firm focuses primarily on business, real estate, commercial, employment and general liability litigation. Also represents a series of companies as outside general counsel, and in that role, provides a wide range of transactional services, including corporate formation and structuring documents, employment practices and agreements, terms/service agreements, etc., as well as general business and employment counseling.Job DutiesDraft pleadings, discovery, dispositive motions, and pre-trial documentsCourt appearances for oral arguments on motions and ex parte applicationsTake and defend depositionsTrial preparationHandle 10+ case loadOpportunities to support transactions, as well as participate in trials, are available within our diverse and deep practice.QualificationsJuris Doctorate DegreeCalifornia Bar License (Licensure in other jurisdictions a plus)Ability to control/maintain own tasks/scheduleExperience with Google applications, Microsoft applications and WestlawMust have good verbal and communication skills and effectively communicate them in person and over the phonePositive, high-energy attitudeLitigation Associate3-15 years of litigation experience in California State and Federal CourtsExperience drafting motions for summary judgment and other substantive motions (preferred)Experience in taking and defending depositions (preferred)Trial experience (preferred)
