Litigation Associate OpportunityDirect Counsel is seeking a Litigation Associate to join a nationally recognized firm's Insurance Recovery & Counseling Group in Washington, DC.The ideal candidate will have 3–9 years of litigation experience and a demonstrated interest in—or prior exposure to—insurance recovery or coverage work on behalf of policyholders. This is a strong opportunity for a mid-to-senior-level associate seeking hands-on experience, a collaborative team culture, and a transparent path to partnership.Key Responsibilities:Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs for matters in both federal and state courtsManage discovery, including depositions and discovery-related motionsHandle multiple time-sensitive assignments efficiently and independentlyCollaborate with team members while taking ownership of significant case responsibilitiesQualifications:3–9 years of litigation experienceStrong written and oral advocacy skillsAdmission to the DC Bar or eligibility to waive inInterest or background in insurance recovery and policyholder-side coverage work is a plusAdditional Details:Annual billable expectation: 1,850 hours (including up to 100 hours of approved pro bono work)Salary range: $185,000–$265,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualificationsThis firm offers excellent advancement opportunities and a supportive, collegial environment for attorneys ready to grow their careers.
