Litigation Attorney Opportunity
A highly respected and growing law firm is seeking an experienced litigation attorney to join its established team in Houston. This is an outstanding opportunity for a seasoned legal professional ready to step into a high-impact role handling sophisticated matters while contributing to the continued growth of a thriving practice. The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of litigation experience, strong courtroom presence, and a proven ability to independently manage complex cases from inception through resolution. Experience in first-party property insurance litigation is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse caseload from intake through settlement, trial, or resolution
- Represent clients in hearings, depositions, mediations, and court proceedings
- Analyze insurance policies, claims files, correspondence, and supporting documentation
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal filings
- Conduct legal research and develop strategic case approaches
- Negotiate favorable settlements with opposing counsel and carriers
- Provide clear legal guidance and exceptional client service
- Collaborate closely with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff
- Support business development efforts and cultivate new client relationships
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active bar license in good standing
- 10+ years of litigation experience
- First-party property insurance experience preferred
- Strong negotiation, trial, and case management skills
- Demonstrated ability to generate business and build client relationships
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
