This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys autonomy, and takes ownership of their cases from start to finish.The ideal candidate can independently manage all aspects of litigation, from early case strategy through trial and appeal, including matters involving trade secrets, trademarks, non-competes, breach of contract, and related disputes.Our team is lean, collaborative, and high-performing.
We set a high bar for quality and provide the support to meet it.Key ResponsibilitiesManage a diverse caseload of complex commercial litigation matters from pre-suit through trial and appealDevelop case strategy and oversee execution across all phases of litigationDraft pleadings, motions, and briefs; argue motions in courtManage discovery, including drafting and responding, and conducting depositionsRepresent clients in mediations, hearings, and trialsProvide strategic, business-focused legal counsel to clientsIdentify creative solutions and opportunities in complex legal challengesCollaborate closely with colleagues and clients on case strategyOther duties as assignedQualificationsActive membership in good standing with the Michigan State BarA minimum of 10+ years of experience in complex commercial litigationDemonstrated ability to independently manage cases with minimal supervisionStrong experience in drafting pleadings, taking depositions, and arguing motionsExcellent legal research, writing, and analytical skillsStrong client communication and relationship management abilitiesJ.D. from an ABA-accredited law schoolCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive base salary commensurate with experienceAnnual bonus opportunityComprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with firm contributionsEqual Opportunity Employer
