Job Details
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Permanent Litigation Associate to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of litigation processes, insurance defense, insurance coverage opinion, and have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role. This position is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to apply their legal expertise in a challenging and rewarding environment.
Responsibilities:
- 1. Representing clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend clients or prosecute defendants in civil litigation.
- 2. Preparing and drafting legal documents, such as wills, deeds, patent applications, mortgages, leases, and contracts.
- 3. Advising clients concerning business transactions, claim liability, advisability of prosecuting or defending lawsuits, or legal rights and obligations.
- 4. Analyzing the probable outcomes of cases, using knowledge of legal precedents.
- 5. Evaluating findings and developing strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
- 6. Gathering evidence to formulate defense or to initiate legal actions, by such means as interviewing clients and witnesses to ascertain the facts of a case.
- 7. Specializing in insurance defense and providing coverage opinions.
Qualifications:
- 1. Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- 2. A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in litigation, with a particular focus on insurance defense.
- 3. Proficient in drafting and negotiating a wide range of legal documents.
- 4. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively and persuasively present information to clients and other key stakeholders.
- 5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound decisions.
- 6. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, while meeting deadlines.
- 7. Admitted to practice and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law in the state.
