Litigation Associate

Seeking a junior to mid-level Litigation Associate in the San Francisco office. Responsibilities include drafting pleadings and motions; legal research; arguing hearings; managing discovery requests and responses; taking and defending depositions; and assisting with trial preparations and trial.

Academic and Professional Qualifications

• 2-6 years of experience at a top-tier firm and/or judicial clerkship
• Admission to the California Bar
• Possession of a JD from an accredited law school and a strong academic record

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Experience with healthcare/managed care litigation is a plus but not required
• Significant and exceptional writing experience/skills
• Legal research, drafting legal documents, conducting discovery, coordinating with local counsel, and generally defending against litigation
• Excellent research and organizational skills; strong verbal and written communication abilities
• Courtroom and deposition experience preferred but not required
• More senior candidates should have substantial experience managing the various aspects of a commercial lawsuit from start to finish; junior candidates should have an exceptional academic record
• Must be a self‑starter, able to prioritize workload, display good judgment, and work well under pressure

Salary range for this position is $235,000‑315,000 per year, dependent on skills and experience. Benefits include health, dental, life, 401(k) and many other excellent benefits.
