About the Opportunity

DNA Partners is representing a prominent national law firm seeking a talented Litigation Associate to join its Securities and Complex Commercial Litigation practice in New York City. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with 4-8 years of sophisticated litigation experience who is looking to take on substantial responsibility, work directly with clients, and play a key role in high-stakes disputes.

The successful candidate will work alongside experienced litigators on complex securities matters, commercial disputes, regulatory issues, and other significant litigation engagements.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis involving securities-related and complex commercial litigation matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, legal memoranda, and other substantive litigation documents.
• Participate in depositions, court appearances, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement discussions.
• Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys to develop and implement litigation strategy.
• Analyze applicable statutes, regulations, case law, and industry developments affecting ongoing matters.
• Manage all phases of discovery, including document review, production, witness preparation, and factual investigations.
• Assist with trial preparation, including exhibit management, witness coordination, case development, and courtroom support.
• Communicate regularly with clients regarding case developments, strategic considerations, and litigation risk.
• Conduct witness interviews, fact gathering, and case assessments.
• Support business development initiatives and other special litigation projects as needed.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active admission to the New York Bar and good standing; New Jersey admission is a plus.
• 4-8 years of law firm experience focused on securities litigation, complex commercial litigation, or related disputes.
• Strong knowledge of state and federal court practice, civil procedure, and evidentiary rules.
• Exceptional legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
• Experience managing discovery, drafting substantive motions, and handling client‑facing responsibilities.
• Proficiency with legal research platforms and litigation support technology.
• Outstanding organizational abilities, attention to detail, and commitment to client service.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple matters in a fast‑paced environment.
