Litigation Associate

A leading Am Law firm 100 is seeking a Mid-Level Litigation Associate to join its New York office. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced commercial litigator to handle sophisticated matters and take on substantial responsibility across all stages of litigation. The ideal candidate will have strong New York State and federal court experience, with a background in real estate and finance matters preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Draft and respond to pleadings and other litigation documents.
• Manage discovery processes and related matters.
• Conduct legal research and prepare written legal analyses.
• Argue motions before New York State and federal courts.
• Take and defend depositions, including expert depositions.
• Handle matters through various stages of commercial litigation.
• Assist with trial preparation and proceedings.

Qualifications:

• 5–7 years of experience in general commercial litigation.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
• Admission to practice law in New York.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Experience practicing in New York State and federal courts.
• Experience with real estate and finance matters preferred.
• Trial experience is a plus.
• Large law firm experience strongly preferred.
• Competitive salary of $250,000–$290,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
• Opportunity to work on sophisticated commercial litigation matters.
