Job Overview
A law firm seeks a midlevel Litigation Associate for its New York office. The ideal candidate will have 4 to 6 years of experience in complex commercial, class action defense, and financial services litigation. They should possess strong writing and interpersonal skills and be eager to work collaboratively across offices.
Duties
- Analyze issues, conduct research, and draft briefs for complex litigation.
- Prepare for and participate in motion arguments.
- Prepare outlines and exhibits for depositions; taking or defending depositions is a plus.
- Engage in trial preparation, including direct and cross-examination outlines and exhibits.
- Work strategically and analytically with clients.
- Manage cases, including discovery responses, document review, and expert collaboration.
Requirements
- Solid academic performance.
- Good standing with the NY State Bar.
- Admission to the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York preferred.
- Law Review/Journal and/or Moot Court experience preferred.
Education
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
Certifications
- Admission to the New York State Bar.
