Litigation Associate

Position Title: Litigation Associate

Salary Range: $280,000–$330,000 / Year, DOE

Work on sophisticated, high-stakes commercial disputes where you will have a meaningful role in shaping case strategy, not simply supporting it from the sidelines. This Litigation Associate will join a nationally recognized litigation practice handling complex commercial matters, including brand and reputational disputes, with hands‑on responsibility for discovery, motion practice, depositions, witness preparation and trial strategy.

The ideal candidate is an ambitious, collaborative litigator with 4–5 years of strong commercial litigation experience who wants substantive responsibility, direct exposure to complex matters, and a clear path toward long‑term advancement.

Responsibilities

• Manage written and document discovery across complex commercial litigation matters
• Conduct sophisticated legal research and draft memoranda, pleadings, and dispositive and non‑dispositive motions
• Draft and argue motions while contributing to broader case strategy
• Take and defend depositions and assist with preparing witnesses for testimony
• Manage key phases of complex, high‑stakes commercial disputes, including matters involving brand and reputational issues
• Support all aspects of trial preparation, strategy and execution
• Collaborate closely with attorneys across offices and practice groups on sophisticated litigation matters

Requirements

• 4–5 years of commercial litigation experience, ideally within a large or highly regarded law firm
• Active admission to the California Bar
• Hands‑on experience with discovery, legal research, pleadings, motion practice, witness preparation, and taking and defending depositions
• Experience managing significant phases of complex, high‑stakes commercial disputes
• Strong academic credentials, with a 3.4+ GPA typically preferred
• Experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants is a plus
