Duties

• Represent clients in state and federal environmental litigation and administrative proceedings.
• Develop and implement litigation strategies, including case planning and motion practice.
• Analyze and litigate insurance coverage issues related to environmental claims.
• Advise clients on environmental liabilities and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct legal research and prepare litigation‑related documents.
• Collaborate with clients, technical consultants, and insurers on litigation strategies.
• Participate in mediation and alternative dispute resolution mechanisms.
• Stay current on developments in environmental and insurance coverage law.
• Contribute to business development through client management and networking.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and J.D. with strong academic credentials.
• 2+ years' experience in relevant legal fields.
• Knowledge of environmental statutes like CERCLA, RCRA, and the Clean Water Act preferred.
• Understanding of insurance coverage is a plus.
• Experience in discovery and depositions preferred.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to take initiative and problem‑solve.

Education

Bachelor's Degree, Juris Doctor (J.D.).

Certifications

Bar admission in Indiana or eligibility to obtain admission.
