Litigation Associate

Squire Patton Boggs is seeking a junior to mid‑level Associate to join any of our U.S. offices, with a particular preference in the Miami or Cincinnati offices. Experience with healthcare/managed care litigation is a plus but not required. The individual hired for this position will be responsible for handling most aspects of litigation, including drafting pleadings and motions; legal research; arguing hearings; managing discovery requests and responses; taking and defending depositions; and assisting with trial preparations and trial.

Qualifications

• 2-6 years of experience at a top‑tier firm and/or judicial clerkship
• Admission to the Florida Bar
• Possess a JD from an accredited law school and a strong academic record
• Excellent credentials
• Experience with healthcare/managed care litigation (a plus)
• Significant and exceptional writing experience/skills
• Strong legal research, drafting, discovery, and coordination skills
• Excellent research and organizational skills; strong verbal and written communication abilities
• Prior courtroom and deposition experience (preferred but not required)
• Substantial experience managing a commercial lawsuit from start to finish (senior candidates)
• Exceptional academic record (junior candidates)
• Self‑starter ability to prioritize workload, good judgment, and work well under pressure
