Litigation Associate

Overview

Unique Litigation Associate opportunity with a well-rounded, down-to-earth law firm and great Managing Partner mentorship. Our client is looking to add 2 Associates with anywhere from 2-7 years of experience to touch on a wide-variety of matters including, but not limited to: insurance defense, general liability, complex commercial, product liability, etc. This is a defense firm with work/life balance and heavy bonuses throughout the year.

Responsibilities

• Handle matters across insurance defense, general liability, complex commercial, product liability, and related litigation areas.
• Conduct legal research, investigation, writing, and verbal advocacy as part of case preparation.
• Prepare and respond to initial pleadings, motions to dismiss, demands, discovery, motions for summary judgment, and other trial-related court filings.

Qualifications

• Must be barred in NY.
• Excellent legal research, investigation, writing, and verbal skills.
• Experience preparing and responding to initial pleadings, motions to dismiss, demands, discovery, motions for summary judgment, and other trial-related court filings.
