Asbestos Litigation Associate — Chicago

A global law firm is seeking a litigation associate with 3–8 years of experience to join its Chicago office and work on asbestos matters. This opportunity is suited to an attorney who enjoys substantive responsibility, complex case development, and working closely with clients and experienced litigators.

What you’ll do

• Handle asbestos litigation matters from investigation through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and other litigation documents.
• Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.
• Work with witnesses, experts, and clients to develop case strategy.
• Manage deadlines and provide clear, timely case updates.

What we’re looking for

• 3–8 years of litigation experience, ideally involving asbestos, toxic tort, product liability, or related defense work.
• Strong legal research, writing, deposition, and case management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
• Admission to the Illinois Bar.

Location: Chicago, IL

Billable requirement: 1,900 hours annually
