Job Overview

A law firm seeks a 3rd-4th year Litigation Associate in New York City. This role is ideal for a confident, driven litigator with a keen interest in media law. The position involves significant responsibility, including direct client interaction and ownership of matters from the outset. The associate will engage with cutting‑edge copyright, trademark, First Amendment, and newsgathering litigation, as well as commercial disputes.

Duties

• Support litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Participate in pre‑publication legal issue identification and risk mitigation.
• Handle federal and state court proceedings and arbitrations.
• Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, and submissions.
• Manage discovery, including strategy, document review, and depositions.
• Participate in oral arguments and court appearances.
• Collaborate with partners and clients on case strategy.
• Manage multiple fast‑moving matters.
