Job Overview
A law firm seeks an experienced Litigation Associate to join its team in North Carolina. The ideal candidate will have three to eight years of litigation experience with a focus on general commercial, construction, or employment litigation.
Duties
- Provide legal advice to clients on various litigation issues.
- Conduct legal research and analysis.
- Correspond with clients and opposing counsel.
- Draft legal documents.
- Participate in legal proceedings, including depositions, motion hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
Requirements
- 3-8 years of litigation experience.
- Licensed to practice law in North Carolina or willing to obtain a license immediately.
- Experience representing plaintiffs or defendants in civil litigation.
- Experience in hearings, depositions, and motion practice.
- Trial and arbitration experience is a plus.
Education
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
Certifications
- Licensed to practice law in North Carolina.
