Litigation Associate $150k-$170k

Whitman Legal Resources has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Commercial Litigation Associate to join a well-established boutique law firm located in Midtown Manhattan. Our client is seeking an attorney with 5–6 years of substantive commercial litigation experience who is comfortable handling matters with a high level of responsibility in a small, collaborative firm environment.

Responsibilities

• Handle a variety of commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and prepare written legal analyses.
• Manage discovery, including document review, production, and depositions.
• Assist with and participate in court appearances, hearings, depositions, and trial preparation.
• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties.
• Manage multiple matters and deadlines independently while working closely with the firm's attorneys.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York State Bar and in good standing.
• Approximately 5–6 years of commercial litigation experience .
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to independently manage matters and competing deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable working in a hands-on boutique law firm environment.

Compensation

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $150,000–$170,000 , depending on experience and qualifications.
