This position is located in Redondo Beach, CA.*Please be aware that this position is contingent upon obtaining and maintaining associated business and/or customer funding and obtaining final clearances and program access(es) within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company.
Continued employment thereafter will be subject to maintenance at the level of clearance and program access required for the position in the future.As a Linux Systems Architect, your duties will include reviewing, understanding and designing automation techniques to address a wide range of infrastructure requirements; understanding of automation for both Infrastructure as Code and cyber hardening/patching; working closely with software and systems engineering teams to ensure requirements are understood and blockers are elevated.Basic Qualifications:Linux Systems Architect - Level 3: 5 years of relevant experience with Bachelors; 3 years of relevant experience with Masters; 1 year of relevant experience with PhD; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degreeLinux Systems Architect - Level 4: 8 years of relevant experience with Bachelors in Science; 6 years of relevant experience with Masters; 4 years of relevant experience with PhD; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degreeActive Top Secret clearance required at the time of application, and the ability to obtain and maintain SCI and CI Poly prior to startCurrent Security+ CE, CASP, CISSP, or similar DoD 8570 security certificationExtensive experience with Linux Operating SystemExperience designing, implementing, and maintaining Classified Linux environmentsExperience operating and managing systems within current applicable information systems cyber compliance standards in closed areasPreferred Qualifications:Demonstrated experience in technical judgmentExperience with Linux functions in yum, ldap, ansible (IAC tools), stig implementation, SELinux, kickstart, dns, dhcp, firewalld, log analysis, managing logical volumes, pki, git, RBAC/HBACExperience working as part of an Agile development environmentUnderstanding information technologies, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skillsDemonstrated ability to analyze high level needs utilizing use cases and relate them to requirementsExperience with VMWare implementation, migration, and maintenancePrimary Level Salary Range: $114,000.00 - $171,000.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $142,200.00 - $213,400.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
