Linux System AdministratorSeeking a Linux Systems Administrator with experience supporting Red Hat Linux in a 24x7 environment. This position will be responsible for supporting IT infrastructure, focusing on production systems in Geoscience, Engineering, and ERP areas. The successful candidate will work closely with the business and other IT groups to ensure alignment with business goals.Key Responsibilities:Design, install, configure, and maintain Red Hat Linux (6/7/8) in a virtualized Linux environmentAdminister, troubleshoot, and resolve failures and critical alerts on Linux serversMaintain security for all Linux systemsWrite and troubleshoot Linux shell scripts as necessaryCollaborate with Oracle DBAs to ensure maximum uptime for business critical databasesCollaborate with application business analysts to ensure success and availability for business critical applicationsAfter hours and weekend work may be required to minimize business disruption.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree required.
Concentration in IT related field preferred3+ years’ experience administering Red Hat Linux in an enterprise environmentExperience with Ansible for configuration managementExperience administering Red Hat Satellite for server deployment and managementUnderstanding of Active Directory/SSSD/Kerberos for system security and authenticationUnderstanding of HPC schedulers and launch scripts a plusUnderstanding of IT controls and audit concernsStrong collaboration and verbal and written communication skills
