To support the development of Rocky Linux, the remote Linux Kernel Development Engineer will produce and maintain the Linux Kernel, lead the design and maintenance of kernel components, and develop live patching infrastructure while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Key responsibilities Lead the design, development, and maintenance of Linux kernel components for products and services Develop and maintain kernel live patching infrastructure, automation, and tools Debug and resolve complex kernel-level issues, including memory management and process scheduling Required qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience Minimum of 5 years of experience in Linux kernel development with a focus on system-level programming Proficiency in C programming and in-depth knowledge of Linux kernel internals Experience with version control systems, preferably Git Familiarity with hardware platforms and architectures, including x86 and ARM
