In this role, you will design, develop, debug, and maintain low-level Linux components that support endpoint security, application control, and threat prevention across multiple Linux distributions and architectures.This role will be based in Orlando, FL and is an in-office position.ResponsibilitiesDevelop, debug, test, and maintain Linux kernel-level components using C/C++Work with kernel modules, eBPF, system calls, filesystems, networking, memory management, and process monitoringValidate kernel functionality from user space and work with user-space APIsDebug complex kernel, performance, compatibility, and system-level issuesSupport compatibility across Red Hat, Debian, Ubuntu, SUSE, and other Linux environmentsSupport kernel and platform enablement across x86_64 and ARM64Contribute to build, packaging, CI/CD, and automated kernel testing processesSupport platform and Linux distribution porting where requiredCollaborate with development, QA, DevOps, and security teamsRequired Qualifications:5+ years of software development experienceStrong C/C++ development skillsStrong understanding of Linux kernel internalsExperience with Linux kernel modules and/or eBPFExperience with processes, scheduling, memory management, concurrency, filesystems, networking, or storage subsystemsExperience debugging kernel and low-level system issuesStrong understanding of computer architecture and system-level softwareExperience working across multiple Linux distributions and kernel versionsPreferred Qualifications:Experience developing endpoint security, EDR, antivirus, or similar security softwareExperience with eBPF-based monitoring or enforcementExperience with ARM64 and x86_64Experience with Python for tooling, testing, or automationExperience with Linux packaging, kernel build systems, and CI/CDExperience with virtualization technologies such as KVM, VMware, Xen, or Hyper-VKnowledge of PCIe, DMA, SR-IOV/SIOV, or related low-level system interfacesExperience contributing to or maintaining upstream Linux kernel codeA background check and drug/substance screening are required after a conditional offer. Employment will proceed only upon receiving clear results from both.ThreatLocker also conducts randomized drug and substance testing approximately every 60 days, in line with the same screening standards.
