You should be familiar with developing engineering standards, workflow, process improvements, research new technologies and transfer to system support teams.ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, operate, and support Linux infrastructureCollaborate with business owners, developers, operations teams, technologists, and management to deliver high-quality solutions to real-world problemsTake a data driven approach to analyzing and solving complex problemsContinually seek to improve system performance and drive down latencyUse an engineering mindset and automation/DevOps to improve service delivery and increase user satisfactionGuide projects from beginning to end, including design, procurement, implementation, and documentationResearch new technologies and solutions; be a catalyst for changeConstantly improve monitoring and alerting for system and application performancePreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or relevant fields is requiredOver 5 years of engineering experience in contributing toward the architecture and design of new and existing Linux environment.Deep understanding of Linux system internalsConsistent track record working under pressure in a fast-paced environment with competing prioritiesStrong problem solving and troubleshooting skillsA team oriented and customer service mindset with a strong will to succeedAnsible Roles/Playbook experience is requiredAnsible Tower, or Ansible Automation Platform experience is requiredBash and/or Python scripting is requiredRed Hat Satellite and Red Hat IdM experience is preferredOpenShift and/or Kubernetes experience is strongly preferredVMware experience is preferredMS Azure experience is preferredParticipate in an on-call rotation with the team for off-hours support. Other duties as assigned or needed.Financial trading industry experience and automation skills are preferredThe role requires to be in the office for 2 days a week.
