Linux EngineerWe are seeking a Linux Engineer to support a DoD Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) logistics system that provides functions including asset visibility, supply, maintenance, readiness, task organization, repairs, request tracking, and financial information. The selected candidate will be responsible for building, maintaining, and securing DoD IT system hardware and software infrastructure (servers, network, security, etc.) using systems analysis techniques and procedures to ensure appropriate functioning of hardware, software, or system functional specifications. The selected candidate will work in an Agile development team and have experience installing, configuring, deploying STIGs, integrating, and maintaining Linux in large enterprise environments. The candidate will work in the lower software development environment and will be expected to work and coordinate with Linux Engineers in higher environments. The candidate will be expected to document the configuration to include any open STIG findings and configuration deviations along with the cybersecurity compliance team.
Responsibilities for this position include:Installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software and system management tools.Rooting cause analysis on incidents related UNIX systems, hardware, and OS/software.Red Hat/Oracle/Linux AdministrationAnsible scripting and automation to include developing playbooks and/or modules.PKI integration in a Linux environment.Monitoring for system performance and stability.Maintaining system patching and security levels to approved baseline.Troubleshooting and resolving issues in our dev and test environments.Maintaining the environment to satisfy security requirements set by RMF accreditation package.Updating system and process documentation and user guides as needed diagrams and SOPs as needed.Possessing the ability to objectively handle escalation of reported incidents.Container SecurityQualifications and Education RequirementsLinux knowledge of software, hardware, and packaging (RHEL/Oracle/Podman/Docker)Experience working on Oracle Linux virtualization including OLVM and KVM.Experience configuring and maintaining storage devices preferably Oracle ZFS and NFSAIDE/PAM experienceExperience with AnsibleSTIG integration, remediation, and documentationVulnerability management and remediationTypically requires an Associate's degree or equivalent and three years of related experience.DoD M IAT II requiredPreferred SkillsExperience with OCI experience or certification.Experience integrating PKI in a Linux environment.
