Job Description:
The responsibilities of Engineer III- Linux and Cloud include the following:
- Ensuring effective daily operations of IEHP’s Linux based systems.
- Experience with running virtualized Linux based systems within a VMware environment.
- Knowledge and experience with VMware’s Tanzu platform
- Experience and knowledge of storage and security administration, in addition to load balancing and application of appropriate security measures.
- In accordance with change management policy, make changes to system software and hardware so that performance meets company’s objectives and maintain SLA’s.
- Experience with implementing and maintaining anti-virus for Linux based systems like RPM, DEB, etc.
- Experience in setup and maintenance of Satellite or similar tools for patching and maintaining Linux based systems.
- Manage and apply necessary system security access.
- Analyze performance indicators to ensure that systems are operating efficiently.
- Build and maintain Linux based servers and associated applications in a highly available, scalable, and secure environment.
- Responsible for managing and maintaining IEHP’s Azure environment
- Provide support, troubleshooting, and design of our Azure cloud environment.
- Experience with Tomcat and Apache
- Exposure and experience with cloud-based platforms as an extension of the Linux based server environment.
- Perform root cause analysis for Linux based servers.
- Team player and ability to work well with others.
- Experience working in the Healthcare Industry will be an added advantage.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
