A highly respected law firm is seeking an experienced Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) Attorney to join its team at the Junior Partner level.
This is a significant opportunity for an attorney with 7+ years of LIHTC experience who is ready to take ownership of sophisticated transactions, mentor junior attorneys, and play a key role within a growing practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead LIHTC transactions from start to finish
- Manage complex affordable housing and tax credit deals
- Structure, negotiate, and document transactions
- Work directly with clients, lenders, investors, developers, and other stakeholders
- Identify and resolve complex legal and transactional issues
- Mentor and develop junior associates
- Collaborate with attorneys and professionals across the firm
Qualifications
- 7+ years of LIHTC experience
- Strong understanding of affordable housing transactions
- Demonstrated ability to independently run a deal from inception through closing
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and client-management skills
- Leadership ability and willingness to mentor junior associates
- New York admission preferred/required for Buffalo or Manhattan candidates
