Seeking an experienced systems software engineer, the full-time Lightning Protocol Engineer will work remotely to design and implement core Lightning Network protocols, contribute to peer-to-peer cryptocurrency daemons, and collaborate on future iterations of the Lightning Network. Key responsibilities Design and implement core Lightning Network protocols and algorithms Contribute to mission-critical peer-to-peer cryptocurrency daemons written in Go Participate in issue triage and code review of open source contributions Required qualifications Strong engineering background with solid programming skills Experience in Go, with C or C++ knowledge relevant Thorough understanding of distributed systems and peer-to-peer networking principles Experience with Bitcoin, cryptography, and/or financial software Prior contributions to crypto protocols and open source software preferred
