Lighting Designer

Job Description

Overview:

Join a national engineering consulting firm as a Lighting Designer. You'll work with residential and commercial clients to design outdoor lighting solutions that meet company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  Meet with clients and the public to assess lighting needs

  Conduct site visits to evaluate lighting requirements

  n

• n

  Design outdoor lighting plans based on utility infrastructure and standards

  n

• n

  Balance time between fieldwork (site visits, staking poles, flagging routes) and office work (designing plans)

• n

  Communicate effectively with clients, crews, and agencies

  n

• n

  Handle customer complaints and find resolutions

  n

Skills and Requirements

  2+ years of experience in power/lighting or technical training/education

  n

• n

  CAD software experience (BOUD, MicroStation, AutoCAD, etc.)

  n

• n

  Basic knowledge of electric fundamentals/power distribution
