This role is designed for an experienced professional who thrives in complex troubleshooting, takes ownership of accurate diagnostics, and plays a key role in driving efficient, high-quality repairs.This position is best suited for a diesel expert with a deep background in domestic platforms and the ability to communicate findings clearly to support seamless service operations.Key ResponsibilitiesLead in-depth diagnostic evaluations on light-duty diesel vehiclesUtilize advanced aftermarket scan tools to isolate mechanical, electrical, and emissions-related faultsPerform precision repairs across diesel systems, including fuel delivery, forced induction, emissions components, and driveline systemsProduce clear, detailed documentation outlining diagnostic results, repair actions, and recommended next stepsWork closely with service advisors and shop leadership to ensure accurate estimates and timely job completionMaintain current knowledge of diesel technology, service procedures, and diagnostic best practicesQualifications10+ years of hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing domestic light-duty diesel vehiclesProven expertise working with Cummins, Power Stroke, and Duramax engine platformsAdvanced working knowledge of Mitchell 1 and Identifix systemsStrong command of diesel powertrain systems, vehicle electronics, and emissions complianceASE certifications required or willingness to obtain shortly after hireHighly developed troubleshooting skills with a methodical, detail-focused approachPosition Details & BenefitsPay Range: $25–$50/hour, based on experienceSchedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PMComprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage401(k) retirement plan with 3% employer contributionPaid time off and paid holidaysIf you're the technician others rely on when the diagnosis isn't straightforward, this is a role built for your skill set.
