We are looking for a reliable and knowledgeable automotive technician. In this role, you will inspect and repair vehicles and make recommendations for automotive repairs and maintenance. You will also answer customer questions, inform customers about shop products and services, and adhere to vehicle safety protocols.

Automotive Technician Duties and Responsibilities

  • Check vehicles to ensure compliance with state inspection requirements
  • n
  • Perform routine automotive maintenance, such as oil changes and tire rotations
  • n
  • Identify pre-existing and potential vehicle malfunctions
  • n
  • Work with manufacturers to order inventory
  • n
  • Test vehicle parts prior to installation/repair
  • n
  • Keep accurate records of completed and outstanding jobs
  • n
  • Consistently meet deadlines for completed work

Automotive Technician Requirements and Qualifications

  • ASE Certification , but not required

  • At least 3 years of previous experience in a related role

  • Extensive experience with various hand tools
