This role focuses on the design, development, testing, integration, and support of banking applications, with a strong emphasis on Java and Liferay DXP portal development. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in collaborative environments and is passionate about delivering innovative and high-quality software solutions Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, and support Java and Liferay DXP portal applications independently.Participate in application design sessions and propose technical alternatives that support business objectives while reducing technical debt.Create detailed design specifications for implementation and ensure high-quality system software.Write and execute unit tests to validate application functionality against business requirements.Maintain application builds, deployments, and configurations.Perform peer reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to standards.Collaborate with project management and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless application integration and coordination.Stay updated on trends and emerging technologies in the software development industry.Communicate status updates and track time against project deliverables on a daily basis.Required Skills and QualificationsStrong communication skills – both verbal and written – with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders and technical team members.Proficiency in:Java 8 and aboveLiferay DXP 7.2 and aboveJava Server Pages (JSP)GitSQL ServerHTML, JavaScript, and CSSProven ability to work independently and deliver high-quality results with minimal supervision.Preferred QualificationsExperience working in a banking or financial services environment.
